Ordinary Disability

An ordinary disability pension is a benefit available to active members who are physically or mentally unable to perform their job due to illness or injury that did not occur at work.

Final Average Salary (FAS)

Depending on the schedule that applies to you, ERSRI will use the average of your highest 3 or 5 consecutive years of salary to calculate your pension benefit. This value is known as your Final Average Salary (FAS).

Service Credit Factor

Each year you work for a participating employer, you accrue a percentage of your salary (your accruals) which are added together to determine your service credit factor. For example, if you had a 1% accrual per year and worked for 30 years your Service Credit Factor would be 30%. How to Review Your ERSRI Beneficiary Information Online

For members who have registered for online access to their retirement accounts, you can review your designations by simply logging into the ERSRI Member Portal, navigating to the “My Pension” section, and selecting “View My Pension Profile”.

QDRO Model Option 2 Police and Fire

Use this model if you are a retired public safety plan member who selected the Option 2 form of payment, or if you are an active public safety plan member and at the time of your retirement you will be required to elect the Joint and Survivor Option 2 form of payment and name your ex-spouse as beneficiary.
