How-to information for reporting post-retirement employment.
Standard Good Faith Letter. This should be used if the member is not providing student instruction or will not exceed the 90-day cap.
This temporary Good Faith Letter should only be used for the period July 1, 2025 through June 26, 2026. This is specific for retired teachers providing student instruction only (retired under title 16 chapter 16); filling a vacant teacher position (teaching in the classroom) or substitute teaching (substitute teaching in the classroom), and hired with the intent of exceeding the 90-day post-retirement cap.
The Optional Service Credit (OSC) Contributions Data Collection allows the employer to report any optional service payment amount deducted from a member’s wages and remitted by the employer.
